Mission

Mesa is building a new GitHub: not just for code, but for all knowledge work.

Most all knowledge work is centered around the production and iteration of documents within collaborative team settings. As agents become more powerful they are being used more and more for the production and iteration of these long-lived documents that need to be stored, shared, reviewed, and refined on a long term basis beyond the scope of a single agent session.

These documents will require rigorous change control that has, until now, only been used on code - with native versioning, branching, persistence, and approval workflows.

Mesa’s mission is to build the new forge for humans and agents to work together in the production and management of these documents.

How we work

We are a tight-knit team that focuses on the customer and the product first and foremost.

We do not have PMs. Every engineer is a Product Engineer, regardless of specialization. We expect engineers to work autonomously to explore and validate ideas or problems that may serve the mission.

We believe in technical excellence, high ownership, and holding a high bar. We use AI to accelerate us but AI alone cannot build Mesa just yet and it’s incumbent on us to have the right mental models.

   • What’s a critical feature Mesa should have and how would you design it?
   • What relevant work have you done in the past?

2. Phone screen

   Quick intro call with one of the founders

3. Onsite

   We’ll fly you out to meet the team and work with us for a day on a series of problems.

We move fast and if all goes well, we’ll make you an offer.
